Abby brings a strong foundation in education and a deep commitment to learner development to her role with the Family Medicine GME Program at Northwest Health Porter. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Olivet Nazarene University and began her career as a classroom teacher, where she encouraged an environment of growth, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
As her professional interests expanded to include adult learning and professional development, Abby transitioned into roles focused on coordinating and supporting training programs. She values the impact that effective mentorship and learning environments can have on an individual’s growth. She also believes that when education is intentional and well-supported, it can shape not only careers but entire communities.
In her current role as Program Coordinator, Abby is committed to keeping education at the center of her work while supporting and advocating for family medicine residents throughout their training. She finds it especially meaningful to be able to witness the journey residents take in becoming compassionate, skilled physicians.
