Interviews

Northwest Health Internal Medicine Residency Program is planning virtual interviews this year. If invited to interview, our Program Coordinator will provide a link to ThalamusGME wherein you can self-schedule your interview with us.

Should you need to reschedule, please feel free to do so at your leisure up to a week prior to your scheduled date. To be respectful of everyone’s time, we cannot reschedule interviews that are less than a week away.

Selection Criteria

Northwest Health Internal Medicine Residency Program selects residents on the basis of their preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials, communication skills and personal qualities such as character, motivation, and integrity. Our Internal Medicine Residency Program does not discriminate with regard to sex, race, age, color, national origin, disability, veteran status, or religious affiliation.

As this is our first year, we are concentrating our selection and interviewing criteria to recruit and match residents who enjoy leadership positions and the opportunity to work with clinic, hospital, and program leadership to build an inclusive clinical and educational work environment that becomes our collective legacy for resident and faculty physicians to appreciate for years to come.

Match Process

Northwest Health Internal Medicine Residency Program participates in the NRMP Match (NRMP Code 2335140C6). As such, it abides by the NRMP Codes of Conducts and Policies/Procedures. Should you have a question following your interview, please feel free to reach out. We are happy to answer questions, but will refrain from forms of post-interview communication that could be construed as illegal signaling. See NRMP Match Code of Conduct for Applicants for more information.

Onboarding & Orientation

Matched applicants will receive an email to the address listed in the ERAS application. This email will include important information regarding onboarding and orientation. Your onboarding will upload the necessary documents into our CRM system (New Innovations) as part of the onboarding process. This will enable us to use a checklist with deadlines for each stage to monitor and authenticate your documents accordingly. Please adhere to the deadlines to assure your training starts on July 1. Specific dates and details for orientation will be provided following Match Day. During orientation, you will receive all the tools to successfully begin your first year of residency at our program.
