Following the successful completion of his graduate studies, Dr. Kailash Bajaj embarked on his residency training in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Prince George’s Hospital. His commitment and leadership qualities led him to serve as the chief resident for the internal medicine residency program during this time.
Dr. Bajaj’s passion for medical education and his aspiration to contribute to the field led him to join East Tennessee State University as an assistant professor of medicine. At the same institution, he took on roles of significant responsibility, serving as an associate program director and CME (Continuing Medical Education) activity director at the Quillen College of Medicine. In 2017, Dr. Bajaj relocated to the Chicagoland area with his family to pursue a career in hospital medicine. There, he founded and became the instructor of an online platform called “Excellent Medical Lectures,” which focuses on providing education for internal medicine residents and offering CME courses for the ABIM (American Board of Internal Medicine) certification exam.
For the past four years, Dr. Bajaj has been an integral part of the Northwest Porter Hospitalist Program, where he has not only provided medical care but has also taken on teaching responsibilities. His commitment to medical education continues as he assumes the role of medical director for academic half-day sessions, grand rounds, and medical education within the program. Beyond his professional life, Dr. Bajaj finds joy in various interests, including traveling, music, dancing, and spending cherished moments with his family and friends. His dedication to both his medical career and personal pursuits exemplifies a well-rounded and accomplished individual.
