I am originally from Uzbekistan, where I completed medical school and later trained in Endocrinology while also teaching Pathology to medical students. My experiences in different areas of medicine made me realize how much I enjoy variety and how important it is to look at the whole person rather than just one medical problem. That ultimately led me to family medicine.
In family medicine I like that my day can include preventive care, chronic disease management, an acute problem, or taking care of a patient in the hospital. I also value getting to know my patients over time. For me, being a good physician means listening, explaining things clearly and treating every patient with respect. I believe Northwest Health — Porter offers broad clinical exposure and plenty of hands-on experience. Since starting residency, I have especially appreciated how approachable the faculty are and how willing the residents are to help one another. I am excited to keep learning and grow into a well-rounded family physician while bringing my passion for medicine to the program.
