My interest in medicine comes from wanting a career that combines science, problem-solving, and meaningful relationships with people. Throughout my training, I found myself drawn to the variety and unpredictability of medicine, particularly the challenge of caring for patients with both acute and complex medical needs. family medicine stood out to me because it allows me to be a well-rounded physician while caring for patients at every stage of life. I chose family medicine because of its breadth, its emphasis on relationships, and its ability to make a meaningful impact both in the hospital and in the community. Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, working out, driving my truck, exploring new places, and spending time with friends and family. I’ve always enjoyed a little competition and adventure, and I’m usually happiest when I have something new to look forward to. I’m grateful to be part of the Porter family medicine program and excited to continue growing as a physician while becoming part of the Valparaiso community.
