I chose internal medicine because it combines the depth of clinical reasoning with the privilege of building meaningful long-term relationships with patients. My experiences caring for patients in resource-limited settings taught me the value of thoughtful decision-making, careful listening, and treating the whole person—not just the disease. I am drawn to Internal Medicine for its complexity, continuity, and lifelong learning, and I value the opportunity to pair analytical thinking with compassionate, patient-centered care.
